Try firefox today

January 6th, 2008

I’m sure you all have noticed the Firefox buttons on the site. Even though I’ve had them up for a while, over 80% of you are still using Internet Explorer. Firefox is another browser that you should try.

It’s completely free to try, and if you don’t like it, you can always go back to Internet Explorer.

My opinion on firefox, its nothing speacil.
and it gave my computer a virus.
Internet Explorer has tabbed browsing, pop-up blocking, a google toolbar, secruity features, and you can personolize your browser as much as you want. The only thing it doesnt have is session restore, which isnt much. You can always sign back on myspace or rewrite an email. What you cant do, it protect your computer from a virus firefox can give your computer.

I just downloaded firefox, and to be honest I kinda hate it. It stretches everything out and makes fonts look weird. But whatever. It actually does make this site look better though.

Yeah, I agree with everything Nicolet said. I like IE7 much better, I think it’s only because I am so use to using it.

Can’t wait for the new layouts and codes!

I’ve been using IE for 15 years and I started to try Firefox about 3 months ago and I love it! I don’t even like using IE anymore. Firefox is the best ^_^

Hey, I’m zach. Well I used to have only internet explorer and loved it, but around last year I started using Mozilla Firefox as well but I hated it. I eventually grew on it and use it now all the time. The only thing I don’t like about it is that the scrollbar colors don’t work in Mozilla. But it’s still wayy better. It does great things especially on myspace. In myspace with mozilla like if you have your words that say “general” and “music”, etc. it hides them and takes away the space they fill. In IE when I go to my personal myspace i has like a huge gap before the interests section where the words would normally be. Also the alignment is different, and sometimes the spacing code does not work. Favicons do not always show up, and to top it all of, it just gives Microsoft more money by using it. Also Internet Explorer uses something called index.dat files, and they store all of your web history, etc. and so basiclally it’s a spying web browser. Firefox is totally opposite, 100% free, fast, fun, and efficient! Also firefox has great and neat skins you can customize it with, and lots of cool features.

I agree with Nicolet, IE has ALL of those things except the session restore.

You need to do some research.

that’s true, but a lot of people are still using IE 6 which has none of those things. People can use IE 7 if they want, but it never hurts to try a different browser.

I have used Firefox a lot at friend’s and family’s house [everyone else has it but me] and I just thought they had some sort of theme or something.

It seemed no different to me.

Can you get rid of a bunch of the toolbars at the top with Firefox?

Like, with my IE7 I have almost nothing at the top.

Just the forward/back buttons, address bar, refresh/cancel buttons, Google search bar…

And on the second row the favorites section, the tabs, and on the far right 4 shortcut buttons…

That’s it.

Can you do that with Firefox?

i have been using firfox for a year, i didn’t like it at first, but then it grew on me and i use it all the time. i think myspace looks better on firfox than internet explorer.

Firefox is definitely better. Firefox does include a pop up blocker. It has everything Internet Explorer has and even more. Like the administrator said, try it. I’ve been using it for a little over a year now.

I tried it yesterday on my home computer and it is way faster than Internet Explorer!

I just downloaded Firefox and my friend’s MySpace pages are all stretched like this http://i8.tinypic.com/8a4ff2d.png

Is there a way to fix that? It doesn’t do it in IE7. :/

To the anonymous person:

You can get rid of the annoying tool bars by doing

View -> Toolbars
Uncheck everything expect for Navigation toolbar and voila! You’re done. =]

I personally love Firefox. I always used IE, and then my brother recommended Firefox to me, and I’ve used it since. I think it’s a lot better than IE in many ways and people should just give it a chance- it’s pretty great.

Love your site, by the way.
However, I have a question to ask:
Is it okay if I remove the credit on the layout, but post bulletins recommending you? I won’t redistribute it. I won’t do it if you say no, I just thought I’d ask.

I Love Firefox! Its Way Better And It Doesn’t Give You Pop-Ups. It Also Has Tabbed Browsing Too. And Yes It Does Help Protect From Viruses. I Don’t Know What Some People Are Sayig.Cuz It Does. Hey.
I’ve used Firefox before and I didn’t think there was anything special.
I have Safari and I think it’s okay, but I can’t really see all the things im used to on Internet Explorer.
I’ll think about it.
Well I wanted to ask if you could make some more moving layouts. I got one from here and I love it. I need to change it though, but I only want moving color ones. Maybe you could make it in different colors.

Personally I like FireFox better but it doesn’t matter which you use. MySpace is better used on IE. Its really gay when people try to get others to use FireFox it doesnt matter! USE WHAT YOU LIKE MORE.

whenever i use the hide bottom links code, it leaves the lines that divide the words and makes it look ugly. so i was wondering how to get rid of those too.

this code does not work it is suppose to hide the search bar & the shortcut menu but it only hides the search bar not the short cut menu, it worked for a while then stopped working around 6pm est time last night

I noticed alot of people were saying the firefox gave their computer a virus, that you couldnt play music and so on.

Firefox does NOT give your computer a virus , you probably got it from someone else.

Also , firefox has a thing where you can play music directly from a site without having to go to it , im pretty sure its one of the add ons.

Anyways , I’ve had firefox for about two months now, and it sure didnt take me long to figure out how to get it to work how i wanted it to , and personalize it.
I haven’t had any profile problems so far other than the fact that the songs dont play if the person has them hidden , and if the music player is not on the page, like if i havent scrolled down far enough for it to be in view, it wont load until i do.

But firefox is wonderful.

only 16% huh? well just about everyone I know uses firefox now thanx to me. its 1000 times better than IE and I’ve noticed more and more lately that a lot of things [myspace codes specifically] don’t like to work in IE anymore…

i just downloaded the mozilla firefox. but it always crash and i know it’ll effect my computer. i already tried to uninstall it,and install it back. but still…like always, crash and sometime it shuts my computer off. what the hell? hope someone can help me what to do. please, because i really love using mozilla firefox.
