Crash Codes

4 new codes

February 10th, 2008

I posted four new codes. Sorry I didn’t post them last night, I ended up falling asleep =P

The new codes are:
Hide the text next to your profile picture
Flip your profile picture and the text next to it
Change the way your display name looks by adding color behind it
Default layout with a background image that doesn’t repeat

And to get rid of the blank spaces that show up when you use my code, you need to delete 2 things from the code. Delete what’s outlined in the picture below from the codes:

That should fix it! That’s it for this update, leave ideas for new codes for me to post next time!

What is the blue bar at the top called (thats left after you hide the search bar, nav links, and user shortcuts),
and how do I get rid of it?

i was wondering if you had a code or could make a code that you can put only your comments in a scrollbox and not your friends section and comments. i want to hide my friends but still put my comments in a scrollbox. if you could make one or tell me that im blind and its here on your site already =p that would be great!

@elyse - I have been trying for ages to get that code to work, but no luck yet :/ The closest I’ve come is if you hide your friends section, then just the comments scroll

@makayla-rae - I don’t because different sites change exactly where the credit shows up. look for the link to their site in the code you’ve copied and delete it

@jenny - are there any breaks or paragraph codes like the ones from the picture I posted in this update? if so, delete them. If not, I’m not sure sorry.

@jackie - thanks! you can use the code for the display names, but change where it says nametext in the code to either lightbluetext8 (general) whitetext12 (interests) or orangetext15 (about me)

Oh, I found the problem.

I have the “Hide view my pics | videos link”, it and the new code cancel each other out.

The “Hide view my pics | videos link” says .profileinfo td.text {visibility:visible !important;}.

You should tell people this.

@carla - that’s a pretty complicated code so I’m not sure I’ll be able to post a tutorial anytime soon

@charlie - sorry, I usually test new codes by themselves because I don’t know what other codes people are using on their profile. try this code if you want to hide both:

Take a look at my profile really quickly.

My default is off to the left [as is most other peoples’], but since I used the new code there is a huge white area.

Is there any way to make a code to center the picture within the area it’s in? Like, more it to the right ever so slightly?

i have a question; from the very bottom of my myspace page and the bottom of my things i’ve added to my profile, there’s a huge gap. i’ve already deleted the and out of your layouts, but there’s still a big gap. do you know a code to bring the bottom of the page up even to the bottom of your profile?

I have a quick question?
how do you hide layout credit. for example i have this layout that i got at freeweblayouts.net and on my profile in my about me sections it says: (I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net, check out these Myspace Layouts!) is there a way i can hide that? and also i have a thing in the corner of my profile it shows an icon that says freeweblayouts.net. i wanna hide that somehow?? but when you gt this message can you reply to 11tkinney@msad49.org

well, i REALLY like ur layout 21 (guitar), but when i use it, the picture in the background wont show up and it appears just like a plain black layout. i love the picture and would like it on my myspace.

@charlie - try this code to move your picture to the right:

for the normal layout with a color code, make sure you are just using a 6 digit color code and don’t have the # sign in there

@marlee - im not sure what it could be, which codes are you using?

@travis - delete everything after the last style tag in the layout code. it should start with something like fwl code = ad or something like that based on a layout of theirs i checked out

@autumn - i used to use free image hosting but i switched to paid hosting after i ran out of bandwidth. i cant find that pic on my computer to re-upload with my new hosting but i’ll keep looking..sorry

@kathy - i can make one just remind me if i forget to add it with my next update

@katelin - i think i’ve updated the shortcuts code 3 times, but myspace keeps changing the coding. i’ll work on a new one though. to make the extended network box shorter try this code:
<br /> <style>.extendednetwork{width:250px;}</style> <p>
change the number 250 to a larger or smaller number until its the width you want

@zach - it might look something like this:

The code that was supposed to move over my default didn’t work.

I got the URL one to work, though, I had to move it up to the top of my ‘about me’.

I haven’t tried the background one yet, but I do know that I remember to NOT include the # sign in the code.

I found out that if I reorder my codes, some will start to work, but also some codes will like cancel other ones out.

It’s hard to explain…

But like with the URL code, it’s always been the same one, but it never worked until I put it at the top.

And when I use the code to move over my default, all it does is cancel out my other code that changes the background color behind the ad and nav bar…

Thank you for all your hard work and codes. I didn’t know where to go to find the answer to my problem, I’ve searched around under help fourms and can’t get any help.

My problem, I took out (deleted) all of codes & writing, print in my profile on myspace, About Me etc, I pimped a new background and added the code, that is the only thing in the about me box. I was trying to redo the look of my page. The old boxes and background color are still showing up even though there is no more code for that to happen. I tried to go into the myspace profile editor and the buttons that let you click on things are gone, so I can’t clear out my old work on there. It only shows a grey long box where the buttons should be. I’m at a loss. I had all these great plans on how to put the animal shelter dogs up and now I can’t…darn it. If you look at my site, you should only see a green back ground with a lighter green for the boxes. What happens now, you see the green come up and then it changes to the old black and gold boxes

I don’t want to delete my myspace account and start over, I have a lot of great friends that I don’t want to delete.

Any help you can send my way would be a blessing

Finally, I got every code to work that I wanted to, except the one to move my picture to the right a little.

The part of that code where it hides my name, profile info and mood all work, but the padding does not.

URL code works, background code works, and they don’t cancel other codes out anymore. =]

@nicii - I tried to make a code like that that works, but none did. i’ll keep working on it though

@aly - it should work, i just retested it now. the color codes are web safe and should work on most computers…maybe you have another code interfering with it, like a layout code after the color code? not sure without seeing your page, sorry

@andrea - for the 2 color layout code, click here and you can edit the colors yourself

@hanna - to look like what?

@sarah - to make the entire scrollbox go to the right or text inside?

@jacky - idk because it works for me when i test it, make sure your image url’s correct

@paulina - thanks! and to answer your questions, you can write in different fonts but if someone on another computer doesnt have the same one installed, they won’t see it. i’d recommend using the font and making a picture on paint and uploading it instead. for cool fonts go to http://www.dafont.com/

@rachyy - to move the interests table up, try this code. you might have to edit the number 100 until it’s exactly where you want it:

@chrissy - do you mean buttons or links or bulletin codes?

@dawn - yeah i looked at your code and only saw the layout stylesheet for the green layout. did you edit your old layout with the myspace profile editor? because i’d try deleting it from there again. make sure you’re using internet explorer because i don’t think you can edit it on firefox yet

One of my friends can actually change the color of the text when you view all pictures.
not like the caption but the links.

righttttt. here goes.
at the bottom of my profile, under my interests & details box, theres a white gap.
and it seems to get bigger whenever i write in my about me.
but my about me is shorter than like.. the “length” of the two boxes. and there are no extra ’s under my about me from what i know of. do you have a code or a suggestion on how to get rid of it?

hey, i was just wondering, do you have a code to unhide my music player?
it probably sounds silly haha.
because i want to use the code above to get rid of the space left behind when i hide my music player, but i have so many codes, i don’t know which is which. so i can’t find the original code i used to hide my music player.
if that makes sense?

so, what i was thinking was i’d try and use a code to make my music player appear again, and then use your code to hide it, and your code to get rid of the white space left behind.

would that work?
