Gravatars

June 2nd, 2008

I added something called cool called Gravatars to the site. You can choose any picture you want and it will show up next to your comment. Right now you’ll just have the default image I’ve chosen show up.

Here’s how to get your own gravatar: Go to http://gravatar.com/ and click Signup.
Enter the email address that you also use in the email line when you post a comment on my site. (Don’t worry, your email will stay private).
Then go to your email and confirm the activation email from Gravatar.
Finish setting up your account and then add the gravatar image by clicking “Add one by clicking here!”
Upload an image (The size is 60 x 60 but if you have a larger one it will just shrink it) and click on it to select it. You may have to wait a few minutes for it to show.

For any comments whenever you put in the same email address you use for your gravatar account the image you chose will show up :)

    i was also thinking…
    you should make a code so you can make a drop down list of contact links [you can pick which ones you want] and then when you select it it will go to what you want… like with a go button next to it….
    ex. [pictures/videos/comment/message/ ect…. ]

    Meri - I will try and make a new hide shortcuts code for my next update (I will also be posting new guy layouts so to any guys leave suggestions for the types of layouts you’d like)

    I used to have that drop down list code you’re talking about but I remember a lot of the links stopped working…I’ll try and make it work though maybe for a future update

    There is a great lack of blog layouts out there, and I think that if you put your mind to it you could make some really great ones. =]

    also, i found the code to add an image ontop of your music player. i don’t know if it’ll show up buttttttt i know people on here were looking for it, so i thought i’d share it.

    table table div {width:295px; height:51px; background-image:url(IMAGE URL HERE); background-position:center center; background-repeat: no-repeat;} table.userProfileURL div, table table td.text div {width:auto; height:auto; background-color:transparent; background-image:none} table table div object, table table div embed {-moz-opacity:0.4; filter: alpha(opacity=40)} table table td.text div object, table table td.text div embed {-moz-opacity:1.0; filter: alpha(opacity=100)}

    your site = amazing.
